nu:beat is the brainchild of Johanna Müller, a songwriter and musician who's also the
fourth-gen of the legendary Müller family, the name behind AstorMueller – the European
shoemaking giant with a legacy rooted in 1928.
Jo started playing the piano at a very young age and writing songs when she was
still in school. Growing up, music and sneakers were her constants.
It all went down during one of her annual summer visits to her family home in Ibiza. She had an epic moment at her fave club on the island that inspired her to conceptualise a brand new sneaker line – one that would be all about music, movement, and community. nu:beat.
